Responsible for the safe operation and normal maintenance of the ice arena. Oversees the quality and consistency of the facility's ice surfaces.

Essential Functions:
Responsible for maintenance of the ice surface including use of edger and correct resurfacing techniques.
Follows and completes Ice Resurfacer Log Book.
Monitors all public session skating events both on and off the ice.
Assists in the general maintenance and upkeep of the ice arena area including sweeping, cleaning, and other custodial duties.
Maintains rental skates, boots, blade and boot replacement.
Provides excellent customer service at all times, and ensures that all policies are properly implemented.
Knows emergency procedures for equipment and evacuation plan.
Ensures the overall cleanliness of Sharks Ice.
Performs additional duties as required.
Qualifications:
Must be able to wear SSE assigned uniform during all shifts (Deposit required)
Ability to work various shifts, weekends, possibly holidays, and late nights.
Must have valid Driver's License.
Proficient ice skater preferred.
Prior ice rink experience is preferred.
Must be able to successfully perform the essential functions of this job that are physically demanding.
Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to work in a cold environment.

Tasks
Sell tickets and collect fees from customers.

Tend amusement booths in parks, carnivals, or stadiums, performing duties such as conducting games, photographing patrons, or awarding prizes.
Verify, collect, or punch tickets before admitting patrons to venues such as amusement parks and rides.
Inspect equipment to detect wear and damage and perform minor repairs, adjustments or maintenance tasks such as oiling parts.
Maintain inventories of equipment, storing and retrieving items and assembling and disassembling equipment as necessary.
Announce or describe amusement park attractions to patrons to entice customers to games and other entertainment.
Schedule the use of recreation facilities, such as golf courses, tennis courts, bowling alleys, or softball diamonds.
