Imagination Stage was created in 1979 as Bethesda Academy of Performing Arts (BAPA) for arts education for young people. It was founded by Bonnie Fogel. It was incorporated in 2001 by the name of Imagination Stage. The corporate headquarter is located in Bethesda, Maryland, the United States. It is a non-profit organization. Imagination Stage is a private and women-founded center. Imagination Stage is considered as a locally and internationally recognized premier cultural center from a single classroom to a full-spectrum theatre arts organization under the artistic leadership of professional actors and artists with exclusive theater productions along with student's theater shows, after-school programs & summer camps, and educational programs.
