Headquartered in Indianapolis, Indiana, Indiana Economic Development Corporation (IEDC) also has its regional office statewide and international offices in Europe, Berlin (Germany), China, Italy, Japan, India and Israel. IEDS is Indiana’s economic development agency. Formerly there was a Department of Commerce which in 2005 was replaced by IEDC. The organization operates as a business and is organized as a public-private partnership governed by a board of directors. The organization strives to grow and retain businesses in the state along with attracting more businesses.
