About Information Specialist

What does an Information Specialist do?

As Information Specialists, we are responsible for managing secure files and data, analyzing documents, and communicating with stakeholders. We coordinate various processing systems in an organization and ensure they are all streamlined. Creating quarterly reports and managing a company’s information databases is one of our main responsibilities. We disseminate information to personnel and prepare annual data reports for management review. Working as Information Specialists, we develop procedures to organize and distribute data reports to internal and external parties and identify data resources through surveying and research. We also implement data storage methods and assist with the digitization of files.

Core tasks:

  • create and disseminate updates on data processes
  • write and present annual data summary reports
  • assist clients with relevant information
