INTER-CON SECURITY was created in 1973 by retired LAPD Detective Lt. Enrique 'Hank' Hernandez and his wife, Bertha Hernandez, a U.S. Army veteran. The two put their life savings into Inter-Con from their kitchen table, with the goal of creating a new sort of security firm. INTER-CON employs a very varied workforce of over 30,000 individuals spanning North and South America, Africa, and Europe, with sustained operational development, now in its third generation of Hernandez-family leadership.
