InterMed, established in 1993, is a community-based primary care practice with locations in Portland, South Portland, and Yarmouth. Audiology, laboratory research, radiology, biomedical imaging, and rehabilitation services such as physical therapy are examples of specialty and ancillary services that complement health care. Cardiology, Dermatology, Ear, Nose, and Throat, OB/GYN, and Sports Medicine are among the specialty medical services available. It provides Gastrointestinal, Gynecologic, Otolaryngology (Ears, Nose, and Throat), Orthopedics, Podiatry, and Urology patients in its Marginal Way area, which has two state-of-the-art surgical rooms.
