About this Role:
The International Marketing Manager manages international marketing promotions, programs, and planning efforts. Directs efforts to promote and position Hunter products in the marketplace including product promotions, new product introductions, advertising, point-of-purchase materials, sales programs, and ongoing customer communications. Guides and directs the public relations activities and implements tactical and strategic corporate communications plans. Supervises international marketing team.

Essential Job Functions/Tasks:
- Manages the development and implementation of international marketing campaigns to introduce new products and increase general acceptance of existing products in the marketplace. Includes promotional items, direct mail, point-of-purchase, training incentives, sampling programs and product promotions.
2. Manages international corporate communications including new product launches/updates, company news, and crisis communications using press releases, editorial articles, email newsletters, customer training programs, company blog, online newsroom and social media outlets.
3. Oversees strategic plans, cost estimates, analysis of effectiveness and ROI of all campaigns while maintaining a close understanding of corporate sales objectives and current sales performance.
4. Manages market research activities related to the development of new products, measurement of customer preferences and satisfaction, and market share, size, trend, and mix factors. Responsible for market opportunity report.
5. Oversees advertising content direction, planning, purchasing, and maintenance of relationships with a variety of international media outlets. Reviews editorial schedules and manages process to ensure adjacent ad placement to all key features as well as editorial inclusion.
6. Works closely with international sales staff and professional distribution partners in order to provide necessary regional marketing support. Leads efforts to facilitate opportunity for sales and marketing collaboration.
7. Provides leadership and direction to the professional marketing staff. Directs the planning and assignment of work for the most efficient use of personnel and equipment. Responsible for staffing and employee related supervisory activities including hiring, appraisal, and discipline.

Performs other related tasks as assigned, some of which may become essential to the position. Responsibility for safety is an important part of the manager position at Hunter Industries. It can only be successful when each manager understands that they play a key role in the implementation of the company Injury and Illness Prevention Program and safety procedures. They are to recognize hazards and correct unsafe conditions in a timely manner. They should set the tone for safety by personal example and commitment to following company safety policies. Manager personnel should investigate work related injuries and illnesses and take corrective and preventive action, including disciplining those who break the rules. Violators should be treated with fairness and firmness.
Education/Training Required:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field, or equivalent education and work experience.
Experience Required:
Minimum five years of progressive experience in Marketing Management.
Minimum five years of experience in a supervisory role.

KSA #7: Extensive knowledge in marketing and corporate communications practices and technologies including press release platforms, social media, html email design, and project management software.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA's) Preferred:
KSA #8: Thorough knowledge of landscape and irrigation markets preferred and knowledge of products that relate to the market.
KSA #9: Irrigation Association certification or prior irrigation design/specification experience.
KSA #10: Knowledge of consumer product marketing.
KSA #11: Bilingual / fluent in secondary language.
Physical Demands:
Ability to sit to use the computer and to perform paperwork activities. Ability to climb stairs to gain access to upper level work area.
Intermittently walking and standing to move about and to perform work within the office, customer locations and field sites. Requires ability to walk on uneven terrain at field sites.
Ability to occasionally lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds to assist in set-ups and take-downs at trade shows.
Ability to work in a variety of positions (bending, kneeling, crouching) to perform set-ups and take-downs at trade shows, product change-outs and irrigation system/product troubleshooting.
Manual dexterity and coordination sufficient to set-up and take-down displays at trade shows.
Finger dexterity sufficient to use a computer and to complete paperwork activities.
Visual acuity sufficient to use a computer and to complete paperwork activities.
Hearing sufficient to communicate with individuals in person and by telephone.
Work Environment:
Various locations with varying temperatures, floor surfaces and exposure to seasonal elements.
