Hanmi Bank will be conducting a 10 week Internship program in June 2020, for current Juniors and Seniors in University. This role has the opportunity to become a full time position based in Los Angeles, CA. This role would require candidates to be in Los Angeles for the full 10 week Internship and for the in-person interviews which will take place in March 2020.
The Intern is responsible for actively participating as a team member of assigned business units, mirroring the duties of multiple bank positions during the assigned rotations. The Intern will gain exposure to multiple areas of the bank, while gaining real work place experience and mentoring.
Ensures compliance with established Company policies and procedures. Demonstrates knowledge of, adherence to, monitoring and responsibility for compliance with state and federal regulations and laws as they pertain to this position including but not limited to the following: Regulation Z (Truth in Lending Act), Regulation B (Equal Credit Opportunity Act), Home Mortgage Disclosure Act, Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, Bank Secrecy Act in conjunction with the USA PATRIOT Act, Anti-Money Laundering and Customer Information Program, Right to Financial Privacy Act (state and federal) and Community Reinvestment Act.

High school diploma or GED. Undergraduate students preferred. Candidates must be currently enrolled or accepted into a college or university with current G.P.A of 3.0 or above. Educational experience, through in-house training sessions, formal school or financial industry related curriculum, business or financial industry related preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
Must be motivated and possess good communication skills in person, over the phone, and via email.
Must possess superior organizational and time management skills and able to work under pressure.
Ability to appropriately handle sensitive and confidential information.
Punctual and a self-starter;able to work within a fast-paced, dynamic, team-oriented environment.
Strong attention to detail in composing, typing and proofing materials, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines.

Basic skills in computer terminal and personal computer operation; mainframe computer system; word processing and spreadsheet software programs.
