What does an IT Director do?

As IT Directors, we supervise and oversee the activities introduction technology functions of the organization. We manage a department of IT Managers and are in charge of managing the organization's technology operations and implementing new IT systems. We have in-depth knowledge in IT and computer techniques, experience designing and implementing IT systems that align with the organization's vision and mission, and ensure that the IT Systems and workers are working effectively within the specifications and time of the organization.

Core tasks:

  • supervising the technological operations
  • evaluating the technological procedures according to the mission and vision of the organization
  • designing and establishment IT Systems to support the implementation of strategies set by the management
  • determining the technological needs of all departments by analyzing their business requirements
  • purchasing and inspecting of cost-effective technological equipment to ensure functionality and efficiency

Between needing to upload a resume then spending a lot of effort to reformat the web stuff because the parsing routines are poor, and no response back from companies that I have applied, it’s rather disheartening. I’m not surprised that companies can’t find qualified candidates.
