IUCN is a democratic membership union composed of both government and civil society organization. They set direction of union’s work and global conversation efforts more broadly every four year at world conversation congress. They provide vision and oversight for the union and its work. Their mission is to influence, encourage and assist societies to conserve the integrity and diversity of nature and ensure that any use of natural resource is equitable and ecological sustainable. They provide their members opportunity to strengthen common action in overcoming barrier to a sustainable future. They driven by their mission reflects the diverse needs of their vast membership and their commitment to conversation and sustainable use of earth’s resources.
