Jackson Hole is the main winter ski and snowboard resort. It was founded in 1963. It has more than 2500 acres of the best skiing and riding in North America. The Resort is operated and owned as a special use permittee of Bridger Teton National Forest. Winter and the Summer operations are aerial tram and lift access activities including hiking, snowboarding, biking, snowboarding, and paragliding. The resort specializes in hospitality, events, big mountain skiing, food and beverage, ski and snowboard school, and restaurants. Other services include ski and snowboard rentals, backcountry guides, retail, mountain operations, product sales, and services gondola and tram operations, riding powder, biking, hiking, and via Ferrata. Their official partners include industry-leading companies such as Coca-Cola, Nature Valley, U.S. Forest Service, and Jeep. It has the continuous and the longest vertical rise of any ski area in the U.S. Its height is 4,139 feet from the valley floor.
