James Madison University (JMU) was started as a teachers college in 1908 and presently functions as a public university located in Harrisonburg, Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley. JMU offers 76 undergraduate, 53 master, two educational specialist degrees, and eight doctoral degree programs. The university has 1068 full-time instructional faculty members and 404 part-time faculty members training over 19,000 undergraduate and 1900 plus graduate students.
