JCC Association is a general recreational, fraternal, and social organization that serves the Jewish community in several cities. The organization promotes Jewish heritage and culture through Israel-related programs, celebrations, and Jewish education. The Association is the continental umbrella organization for the Jewish Community Center Movement, which includes around 300 JCCs, and campsites in Canada and the United States. JCC Association also includes 180 local JCCs in the former Soviet Union and more than 400 small centers in Israel. Dr. Aaron Friedenwald founded the JCC Association in 1854, and its headquarter is located in Baltimore, Maryland, United States. The JCC Association offers a broad range of services and resources to help its affiliates to provide culture, educational, social, Jewish identity-building for people of all backgrounds and ages.
