About Journeyman Electrician

What does a Journeyman Electrician do?

As journeyman electricians, we are responsible for installing, repairing, and maintain electrical setups. We generally utilized blueprints to handle complex electrical systems. We work closely with engineers, architects, and other site engineers in a variety of industries. As compared to the basic level of an electrician, we supervise and manage the team members in addition to electrical work. Maintenance, lighting fixtures, and installation of electrical wiring for different electromagnetic equipment are some of our core responsibilities. We also make sure that the electrical system runs smoothly by remedial measures.

Core tasks:

  • install, test, and monitor electrical system with the help of various tools such as voltmeter, oscilloscope, and ohmmeter
  • recommend final diagnosis report and steps to resolve the issue
  • regular testing and replacement of electrical devices to ensure the smooth functioning
  • maintain the equipment in working conditions
