I was discriminated and harassed daily, and was yelled at by the flu clinic nurse manager yelled at me until she was red on her face, yelled at me, I reported this nurse manager behavior nurse manager retaliated. The flue clinic administrator was discriminating me daily with orders given by her and then asked “why I did what I did.” And told to do something, but was not given access to get the job done. I was told by the nurse educator that, “we tend to treat you type of people differently.” I wasn’t going to take the job, but I was practically begged by the hiring HR staff. As he told me, “You can apply for a permanent position at the job fair, but later was told “no I will ignore her application. It won’t go through.”

Pros and Cons
no 10-15 breaks given. Quoted, ”clinic nurse must stand on their feet for the entire 8 hour shift.”
Orientation quotes “report a nurse get $100.Report Kaiser doesn’t retaliate.”Kaiser retaliates

I worked here for 11 years, 1 as a contractor, 10 as a FTE. Unfortunately they don't have much use for a database system (the one I was a developer for) that works great, since they have to chase some corporate fad. I have been laid off (no fault according to HR) likely to save money on salaries.

I have worked for Kaiser on two separate occasions. The first occasion I had to leave voluntarily just because I wasn’t able to make the schedules work with everyone else in my family, so that was of no fault of KP but after I returned a year later it was under new management and management was poorly handled. The manager themselves was not helpful not accommodating, not doing their duties as a manager, and ended up resulting me quitting because even after I had reached out for help to the union and to HR I did not receive any and was forced to leave after a month because of how toxic and Unstructured it was for me to work there.

I worked for Kaiser for 4 years and in the beginning the experience was great. They provided great assistance when needed however there was a lot of micromanagement. In my beginning of working there the team was very supportive but as time went by it became very challenging. The managers began to lack with any recognitions and support. The day to day task that had to be completed were challenging once the pandemic struck the world. There were many changes that happened and the team would expect us to grasp each change and master is right away. That was difficult being that everything was remote and very little training. Upon the arrival of the employees working from home, it seemed as if they began to not care about their employees and provided little to no support. The job became draining

If you don’t work in the call center it’s a great company. Pay is great benefits are even better but the call center as everyone knows it is the black sheep. It’s extremely hard to get out of management is the absolute worst. If they don’t like you they will do everything in their power to get rid of you. The union represents are worthless and you pay so much for their assistance. To become a manager in the call center you have be a union rep once you become a manager you forget where you started from. Even though they all say they will fight for you it’s not true. If you work in any other part of Kaiser even as cleaning crew known as EVS you have it made. I’m sorry if this is not what you expected as a review but I’m an honest person and have to tell you the truth.

Pros and Cons
No pros in the call center

As someone that has worked in different departments, I was able to see different perspectives. I use to work at a clinic and enjoyed my interaction with the patients (most of them) and I had a great supervisor and a great manager. I transferred over to the call center and ended up in a department that is notorious for how horrible the supervisor is. The turnover rate for the department is extremely high, and as of writing this, they are 9 people short staffed, which does cause a lot of current workers more stress. We were given mandatory overtime at one point. The supervisor for this team is friends with her boss so any complaint that went about that supervisor never did much. After knowing that Kaiser Permanente continues to let this kind of stuff continue, it sort of gave me an impression about what their values really were. I had great coworkers (that all eventually slowly left) and I had really great benefits, but it wasn't worth the mistreatment and the mental distress.

I thoroughly enjoyed my job at Kaiser Permanente. Since the practice was self-insured, we did not have to deal with various insurance companies for pre-authorization to carry out dr's orders for procedures, tests, surgeries, etc. Dr's were free to order whatever was necessary to facilitate the care of our patients. It was my first job in office setting after having worked in hospitals for more than 20 years; and I was able to work in general practice such as internal med and pediatrics- as well as specialty such as GI, orthopedics, ophthalmology, allergy and asthma. The knowledge I gained by working for Kaiser was priceless! The company was very generous in pay, bonuses, Christmas gifts, annual employee Christmas dinner parties, and they also gave retirement income since I worked there for over 10 years.

Pros and Cons
Friendly coworkers and doctors, good pay, good bemefits, recognition for working hard/
No parking options since we just worked in a large commercial building.

I really enjoyed working there. The system was well organized. I loved the EMR system (EPIC). The notes were easier to write and keep up with when they started the new EMR system.

Pros and Cons
EMR system was great, pay was decent, hours and quality of life was better after EMR
you were overworked. Just not enough time for all the things you had to do for the patients

Started as a Staff Nurse on a inpt psych unit and eventually became one of the Asst. Nursing Supervisors on evenings. In 1995 developed and implemented a pilot project which would become the Regional Psychiatric After Hours Call Center. As manager of Call Center I was responsible and accountable for budget and operations. I was responsible for hiring, coaching and disciplining department personnel. Acting as liason with Kaiser support departments and as well outside agencies and county health systems.

Pros and Cons
Ability to transfer to different facilities, good benefits
Kaiser system can be difficult to understand sometimes

Was a good experience to work for this Company, very nice employees, just wish the Intern supervisor would have more interest for the students, no observation, no comments on the internship forms ( I didn't actually see how you guys worked), wish us students could be more hands on, but because of KP policies, we not allowed too

Pros and Cons
I worked with a great team of nurses, they were very passionate about the patient
The supervisor of our department should be more involved,
