About Kitchen Staff

What does a Kitchen Staff do?

As kitchen staff, we are responsible for cleaning food preparation areas to ensure high hygiene standards. We undertake cleaning of dishes and washing utensils before storing them in designated or appropriate areas. We are responsible for arranging ingredients for specific uses, before storing them ready for distributing to different cooking points. Cleaning, flaking, splitting, flaking and preparing foodstuffs, is also, our responsibility as kitchen staff. We help chefs in making salads and desserts before meal times. Organizing linen laundry and disposing trash is similarly our duty as kitchen staff. We kitchen staff are expected to clean food equipment, floors and other tools.
