It was my first career job after college. I started the company at a very bad time in the industry. it was just before the.com bubble bursted and thousands of people in the tech industry working laid off every day. Just one year in working at KLA-Tencor I found myself getting promoted just after 6 months to a prototype division. To complete our goal of building their new 12-inch semiconductor wafer inspection machine for their first customer. than a month later getting my pink slip due to the dot com bubble bursting. However the company took care of me even after I got laid off by paying for a full year of college afterwards to help get my second AAS degree. Since I've separated from the company and it 2000 the company has always led the industry in semiconductor equipments every year since then. My only regrets is selling off my stocks in my 401k and not fighting harder to stay with the company then and years after. If given the opportunity, I would love to work there again.
