The Los Angeles Opera is a mission-driven, non-profit institution that plays an essential part in Southern California's cultural life. Hundreds of LAO personnel and artists work together to bring international opera to life, preserving, promoting, and advancing the art form while capturing the city's diversity, pioneering energy, and creative sensibility. To serve the audience by presenting world-class opera that protects, promotes, and enhances the art form while reflecting Los Angeles' diversity, relentless innovation, and creative sensibility. An active and informed society in which all people have the chance to share in the rich visual, emotional, philosophical, and cultural experience that opera provides. Career opportunities available are for assistant cutters and special event coordinators.
