Latham & Watkins is an international law firm which was founded in 1934 by Dana Latham and Paul Watkins in Los Angeles, California with its headquarters based in New York City, New York. Latham’s practice was centered on US state and federal tax law whereas Watkins’ practice was focused mainly on labor. The firm was founded, with three attorneys and slowly expanded to 19 attorneys till 1960. In 1988, Jack Walker became its managing partner and set out to grow the firm.
