Founded in 2001, Latinos In Action is a non-profit organization. The organization headquarter is located in Sandy, UT. They provide an asset-based perspective to fill the graduation and opportunity gap for Latino students, working from or within the educational system to bring positive change. Their programs manage as a year-long elective course taught by a qualified teacher at the middle school, junior high, and high school level. They are committed to empowering Latino youth to lead and build up their communities through college and career enthusiasm. They majorly focus on four things: to excel in education, serve the community, leverage personal and cultural assets, and develop leadership skills. Their curriculum provides the best instruction on post-secondary education choices and readiness, personal growth, professionalism, and an exploration of one’s cultural legacy through literary and performing arts. Their student gains real-life leadership experience by engaging in student-led services, social, and professional committees.
