Lawrence University, founded in 1847 and headquartered in Appleton, Wisconsin, is a private Arts College and is the second College to be founded as a coeducational institution in the United States. The College offers two degrees, Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Music. Itb offers major and minor degrees in Anthropology, Art History, Biochemistry, Computer Science, Global Studies, Japanese, Latin, and many more according to interest. The Lawrence University Conservatory Music, founded in 1874, offers Bachelor of Music Degrees in Performance, Music Education, Theory/Composition, and approximately 25% of total students study in Conservatory. According to Forbes 2011, Lawrence University was ranked 63rd on the list of America's Best Colleges.
