What does a Lean Manufacturing Engineer do?

Working as Lean Manufacturing Engineers, we primarily oversee the lean manufacturing processes. We research and execute these processes. We develop, implement, and verify cost savings related to operational improvements. We also understand, demonstrate, and can teach the tools. In the role of Lean Manufacturing Engineers, we also develop standards and measurements for the manufacturing process. We conduct data collection and analysis to inform and support the improvement of organizational performance. We lead the value stream mapping exercises to determine and record improvement. We develop measurement systems that support lean manufacturing.
