About Learning Coach

What does a Learning Coach do?

In the role of Learning Coach, we deliver one-to-one instruction to students struggling with learning. We utilize research-validated, multi-sensory programs and technology. It is our duty to help students reach their potential. We provide tailor instruction to meet students' exact needs. Creating dynamic sessions both virtually and in-person is a part of our job. We follow a formal and organized method of teaching new or inexperienced team members. It is our job to foster growth learning and enhance the socialization of a learner. We manage the supervision of students not working to a normal timetable. We undertake assessments of students to determine those in need of particular help.

Core tasks:

  • assist staff with the development of Individual Education
  • establish productive working relationships with students
  • provide information and advice to students
  • help students to make choices about their own learning
  • challenge and motivate students
  • promote and reinforce self-esteem
  • provide feedback to students in relation to progress
