As Legal Interns, we practice law in an attorney’s office. We complete tasks including research, handling paperwork, helping lawyers with projects, and conducting client interviews. We fulfill tasks set out by supervisors from various departments. We review applications for legal assistance with a wide range of civil legal issues. Making direct contact with attorneys and assisting the managing attorney is part of our daily responsibilities. We participate in the drafting of legal research and the creation of self-help materials for pro se clients. Working as Legal Interns, we identify potential legal issues and obtain necessary information.
