A Customer is defined an organization, government, state or provincial government, city, county, government agency, municipality, federal government, K-12, special district, law enforcement, college, university, academy, or institute of technology, of which is located in the United States and utilizes Company Services to post job opportunities, search for, recruit, evaluate and select Job Seekers. A Job Seeker is a natural person who accesses, uses, or creates an account on a Company controlled Service to search for and apply to jobs advertised by Customers.
If you will be using the Services on behalf of a Customer, you agree to these Terms on behalf of that organization and you represent that you have the authority to do so. In such case, “you” and “your” will refer to that organization. Where these Terms conflict with either pre-existing additional terms of which were mutually and explicitly agreed to between Company and you (collectively referred to as the “Parties”), or where the Parties explicitly agreed otherwise, those additional terms shall control to the extent of the conflict.

Duties & Responsibilities
Typical assigned duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Enter information into a case management system and track cases. Create and maintain case files and determine daily actions. File and organize documents.
Except as otherwise expressly set forth herein, Company is the owner of all intellectual property rights (including copyrights) in the Services, including but not limited to designs, text, graphics, images, video, information, logos, button icons, software, and audio files (collectively, “Company Content”). Material published by Company may contain other proprietary notices or describe products, services, processes, or technologies owned by Company or third parties. Nothing in these Terms shall be construed as granting to you a license to Company Content under any copyright, trademark, patent, or other intellectual property right except as expressly set forth herein.
Schedule meetings and appointments, hearings, depositions and interview dates and times. Schedule and coordinate section meetings and plan and make all arrangements for section conferences.
Assist legal staff in litigation preparation for termination of parental rights cases, guardianships, permanency matters, jurisdictional matters and contested hearings; and other legal documents including, petitions, summons, orders and subpoenas.
Contact other government agencies to gather information. Use internet databases to locate parents in prison, for information, and to search for addresses and court information.
In assistance to or the absence of the paralegal, this position may: schedule trial settings, depositions and pretrial witness interviews; schedule follow-ups and monitor case activity including, timelines for petitions and summonses out for service, subpoenas out for service, defaults after service of summons, pretrial preparation, acceptances of service, witness responses, requests for checks or other information, and final orders which may be appealed;

Prepare and proofread miscellaneous correspondence and legal documents relating to civil enforcement and contested case hearings, including pleadings, opinions, orders, judgments, notices, summonses and petitions and legislative bills. Draft and, as authorized by supervisor/attorney, sign a variety of memorandums and letters.
May assume responsibility for completing duties of other clerical staff and training of other section clerical staff. Back up for reception and mail duties as needed.
Working Conditions: Open office environment with noise from ringing telephones, foot traffic, printers, conversations, and other office equipment. Frequent interruptions and fluctuating workload. Work deadlines vary from very short notice to large ongoing assignments. Overtime and/or weekends may be necessary to meet deadlines with short notice. Requires ability to sit and operate a computer for long periods of time. Ongoing learning will be necessary in order to successfully operate various computer programs used to fulfill duties. Requires moving supplies, equipment, and case files, with use of hand truck for heavier items. Occasional contact with people who are less than pleasant. Must occasionally drive short or long distances (post office, court house, federal/state/county/city offices, etc.) and possess a valid Oregon driver's license. Must maintain punctual and regular attendance. This position deals with confidential or sensitive information, which must be handled according to federal and state laws. These Terms will remain in full force and effect during your subscription, while you access or make use of the Services, or while you have an active account if you are a Job Seeker.
Minimum Qualifications Two years of clerical/secretarial experience which included at least one year as a legal assistant or secretary for an attorney or judge or performance of legal support duties (such as preparing legal documents, maintaining legal records or researching legal information). Experience must include proficiency in word processing software.
You may terminate your Services at any time by deleting your account. Upon termination, you must destroy all copies of any aspect of Services in your possession.
Company reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to pursue all of its legal remedies, including but not limited to removal of some or all of your content from the Services, issuance of a warning, or immediate termination of your ability to access the Services. Company may also terminate your account and access upon any breach by you of these Terms or in order to protect its name and goodwill, its business, and/or other users. Such termination may be effective without notice. If at any time during your use of the Services, you made a misrepresentation of fact to Company or otherwise mislead Company in regard to the nature of your business activities, Company will have grounds to terminate your use of the Services.
College coursework or training in Office Technology that included courses in legal terminology and legal office procedures may substitute for up to one year of the general clerical/secretarial experience (1 year = 40 quarter hours/30 semester hours).Requested Skills & Attributes

In addition to the Miscellaneous section below, the provisions concerning Company’s proprietary rights, feedback, indemnity, disclaimers, limitation of liability, Company monitoring and pre-screening, information collection, your responsibilities, governing law, and any other section herein that by its nature is intended to survive termination, will survive the termination of this Agreement for any reason.
Experience maintaining confidentiality with sensitive case information
