What does a Legal Secretary do?

As Legal Secretaries, we are responsible for providing secretarial help to lawyers at the farm. We have to make adjustments and check all legal documents. Our goal is to manage the attorney calendar by setting up the times of conferences and meetings. We have to manage all legal documents and make sure that they are updated. In the role of Legal Secretary, our primary goal is to make sure that all court documents are in order and submit them before deadlines. Some of us have to make research on important case information. We are capable of developing a number of legal documents that include motions, petitions, and appeals.

  • assisting lawyers at the firms
  • scheduling the conferences and meetings
  • maintaining all legal documents
  • submitting the court documents before deadlines
