About Legal Summer Intern

What does a Legal Summer Intern do?

As Legal Summer Interns, we perform research and write memoranda. We are responsible for managing case files, perform administrative tasks including filing, copy staffing receptionists desks, and depositions. Assisting with preparation for trials and attending client meetings is part of our daily responsibilities. We attend trials, hearings, and research legislative histories. Working as Legal Summer Interns, we write articles and contribute to the booklets on particular legal topics. We work with a primary focus on administrative law and processes. We assist the Research and Policy team with researching certain issues concerning law and policies.

Core tasks:

  • conduct research and draft pleadings
  • attend briefings and track legislation
