What does a Liaison Officer do?

As Liaison Officers, we build and maintain beneficial relationships among agencies and organizations. We ease communications and coordinate activities among organizations. We are responsible for streamlining operations. We handle public communications. We oversee incident responses and conflict resolution. We communicate information about company events. We help in promotional and brand perception purposes. We are responsible for coordinating multi agency responses to a breach, hack, or attack. We identify problems in communications among people or agencies. We prepare verbal communications. Event reporting and analysis are also part of our duty.

Core tasks:

  • act as contact points for all agency or organizational personnel
  • keep lists of the agencies or person representing the person, agency, or organization;
  • facilitate meetings and cooperation among people, agencies, and organizations
  • collaborate and communicate with necessary constituents and the public
  • compiling reports on incidents, events, or updates to improve future processes and relationships.
