Job Summary
Five Star Care is currently seeking experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join its team, working at a Long Term Care (LTC) facility located throughout New Jersey. We offer great rates and flexible schedules. All shifts are available; part time, full time, and per diem. We also offer a weekend only shift with special weekend rates.

Please bring the following on your interview.
- Current Resume
- New Jersey LPN license and registration
- Two Reference Letters (preferably from previous or present employer)
- 2 Government Issued Identification (Driver's License, State ID, Social Security or any ID's that shows proof of work eligibility)
- Physical exam and PPD (PPD step 2)
- Chest X-ray and TB questionnaire, if PPD is positive
- Proof of immunity for MMR and Varicella
- Flu Shot, during flu season (September-May)
- Drug Screen
- LPN School diploma or completion
- CPR / BLS

TASKS
- Administer prescribed medications or start intravenous fluids, noting times and amounts on patients' charts.
- Observe patients, charting and reporting changes in patients' conditions, such as adverse reactions to medication or treatment, and taking any necessary action.
- Answer patients' calls and determine how to assist them.
- Measure and record patients' vital signs, such as height, weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse, or respiration.
SKILLS
- Reading Comprehension — Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.
- Active Listening — Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
- Writing — Communicating effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience.

KNOWLEDGE
- Administration and Management — Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
- Clerical — Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, stenography and transcription, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology.
- Customer and Personal Service — Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
- Mathematics — Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications.
