As Licensed Realtors, we do almost the same job as certified Real Estate Agents but we don't perform all the functions and duties of a Real Estate Agent. The requirements for being a licensed Realtor vary from state to state in the US. Before we become licensed realtors in the US, we must be a part of the National Association of Realtors (NAR). To be a part of this association, we join our local real estate board which is usually organized by a county or region. The NAR ethics code usually makes the difference between a Licensed Realtor and a Real Estate Agent who isn't a member of the association.
