About Licensed Veterinary Technician

What does a Licensed Veterinary Technician do?

As licensed veterinary technicians, we usually work with or under the supervision of a senior veterinary doctor and performing the task assigned by him/her. Taking care of the health of patients also is our job. We are responsible for observing the behavior of the pet after the medical treatment. Our other responsibilities include recording the data of the medical history of the patient, giving medications to the patients, and consulting with the owner of the animal regarding the health and condition of the animal.

Core tasks:

  • administering prescribed vaccines and taking care of the stitches
  • giving first aid treatments and changing dressings of the wounds
  • working under pressure and handling pets
