How do I make a difference?

Providing Incredible, Knowledge Based Customer Service

• Prepare foods for Asian food bars and prioritize tasks to ensure all items are completed on the production list to meet customer needs, especially during peak times
• Utilize resources to increase knowledge of products and practices by connecting with team leaders and department managers and recognizing how featured items and themes tie into the department, particularly regarding Menu magazine

Ensuring High Quality Products & Ingredients

• Assist Team Leader in coordinating the activities of team members, ensure tasks are prioritized and completed efficiently, and ensure the department runs smoothly in the absence of the Team Leader
• Learn duties and responsibilities of the job, seek to become proficient in preparing all items offered, and perform other tasks essential to the department, such as ordering
• Follow Wegmans core recipes, cooking techniques, and proper knife skills to prepare a variety of items and produce a consistent outcome that meets Wegmans standards of quality
• Educate and ensure team members are properly handling products, using equipment, keeping accurate logs and following sanitation practices in accordance with food and human safety guidelines and Simplification 5S procedures
