Line Producer

As Line Producers, we oversee all operations and logistics for a film, from the pre-production phase through the delivery of the completed work. We are responsible for hiring the crew, allocating the money and making sure the filming is done safely, creatively, on budget and on time. We also oversee the wrap, or winding down, of the production and hand over it to the post-production supervisor. We are responsible for setting up the production company.

Core tasks:

• manage budgeting
• recruit personnel and services
• schedule shoot dates and locations
• oversee daily production
• communicate with 1st AD and unit production manager
• coordinate equipment rentals
• facilitate last-minute scheduling changes
• act as liaison between crew and Producers
• communicate with Post-Production Supervisor
• manage budgeting and salary for Composers, Editors, Sound Designers, and VFX
• track deadlines
• create deliverables schedule
• guide delivery of completed components to unions, guarantors, producers, and sales agents
• track and meet distribution needs
