A Great Working Experience rom the 1st of my employment to my very last day. I enjoyed going to work everyday at loanDepot. Somedays work did not feel like actual work, partly because I loved my job and my Co-workers. Best Management in the Business, from my Team Lead to the EVP.

this company overworks its underwriters. You easily put in 50+ hours a week, yes you get paid for it, but there is no work life balance. You also work most weekends.

If all you care about in life is money, it is a decent choice company. They mainly support the MLOs that have been there for a while (give them the good leads) while everyone else starts off with warm transfers that have no idea why they are on the phone. If you work your 10 hours and leave, everyone will look down upon you as if you just ran someone over. They will guilt you into working every weekend. Expect longer than long hours. Other than that pay is good.

Pros and Cons
free coffee; training is great
no work life balance.

I would still be there if not for layoffs. Everyone worked hard and was easy to get along with. We had wonderful managers (open door policies) and co-workers. Productive and happy work environment. The company provided ongoing support and training. The management team worked with employees to ensure accurate and successful work.

During my time at LoanDepot, while I was well compensated I did feel a bit of disorganization there. The hiring process we implemented was a joke, as it was during the best times to obtain a loan for most consumers. We severely over-staffed on our side and eventually the lay-offs came quick and abundant. I think we had lay-offs every single month at for about 4-5 straight months due to downsizing after the market started to shift. I was very happy for the opportunity don't get me wrong, but it was all over the place during my time there.

Pros and Cons
Remote opportunities
Over-staffed, unorganized, lack of experience
