About Loss Prevention Manager

What does a Loss Prevention Manager do?

As Loss Prevention Managers, we are responsible for directing the installation of covert surveillance equipment such as CCTV cameras to prevent theft from within and outside the company. We also supervise the installation of silent or loud alarm systems depending on the type of assets. We perform regular and surprise cash audits and deposit investigations to fully account for the store’s cash and maintain appropriate documentation of all loss prevention activity.

Core tasks:

  • advise retail establishments on development up-to-date loss-investigation procedures
  • work with law enforcement to investigate and solve fraud cases and external theft
  • interview individuals suspected of internal theft or shoplifting
