Based in East Montgomery Ave Ardmore, Pennsylvania, The Lower Merion School District (LMSD) in Philadelphia’s mainline suburbs serves more than 60,000 residents of the Lower Merion Townships and the Borough of Narberth. Established in 1834 as one of Pennsylvania’s very first school districts, LMSD enjoys a very rich tradition of success, innovation, achievement, community partnership and collaboration, and as a reputation as being one of the very finest school systems in the United States of America. There are two middle schools, six elementary schools, as well as two high schools providing a challenging and multidisciplinary academic program and flexible, co-curricular experience to more than 8,500 students. The district employs more than 630 full-time teachers with 80% of them having advanced degrees.
