Pro teaim don't like folk w/
abstain from speaking Spanish
arms raised as to simulate a striking motion threat
- collusion from conducting immense sales and credit application processes
- verbally heckling me with ridicule about IQ , Spanish speaking skills , work experience , college education , etc...
- no emphasizes in assisting me to acquiring dual computer systems proficiency , segments of formidable Lowe's protocols
- team members bullying , being obnoxious / loud , disrespecting clients on occasions
- organized to impose on me a restraint of trade
- metastasize defamation / slander of my character / personality
- cited for being too pleasing to Latinos and other clients , too much talking
- Management allowed this continual abuse by a fragment of team staff / administered favoritism
- directed not to assist some large clients with any management consulting , do minimal work for all clients , up selling stifled

Store manager actively targeted POC as "thieves." Assistant managers openly used racist language. Multiple employees questioned the hiring of LGBTQIA+ people, used racist, and heterosexist language, and even showed photoshopped images of POC.

I had a good work experience until, we got a new operation manager who had a problem with black women and some white women. He is prejudice, unfair, sneaky, two faced, controlling, smile in your face, and a liar. I definitely would not recommend anybody of color to work at the store number 0633 because he will treat you wrong. I had to get the ECO. & the NAACP involved. And possibly will be suing Lowe's for discrimination
Pros and Cons
My co workers were fabulous! The regular employee staff were a joy to work with.
Assistant Management is Horrible! They need training! They are the worst at store 0633.

Job can be stressful but is manageable. Leadership in some areas need improvement with employee's personal growth. No support in operations when needed and are quick to discipline without explanation. Employees not in management are belittled and easily replaced.
Pros and Cons
Good pay, some growth opportunity
No growth within will hire outside and favoritism shown

I received from my supervisors good evaluations-aprettiations of my work at the end of 2022 and in January 2024. The politics of Lowes enclose paid leave for part time employees when they need to recover the health due a surgery. I was in a surgery in July 17, 2023...and my time of rest signed by my surgeon was for 3 months, but the manager of this store did not wanted to pay me during my post surgery leave, as Lowe`s politics standards say. When I returned to work that manager decided to reduce my working hours, each months. The reality is that also that store manager...was cutting my working hours scheduling from 20 weekly to an average of 2 or 3 each week. In 2020 I worked near 1150 hours (21.29 net hours average during consecutive 54 weeks). I am not a troubled person. Maybe I should do not talk here about this...but it is the complete true...and the reason to change of my actually job. I enjoyed the work at Lowe`s for 3 and a half year, but the last 6 months was very undeserved.
Pros and Cons
bonus and recognitions
Lack of emphathy-lidership since a year ago: 3 supervisors changed to other lowes stores

Managers are all friends. If 1 is wrong they won't correct them even if the evidence is against them. They will ask you to do things that are against company policy.
Pros and Cons
Benefits are really amazing
It's hard to get in the "inner circle" if ALL management doesn't like you.

I was hired as a Weekday Customer Service Representative (CSR). My job was to locate customers that needed help in the entire store. I assisted customers with any project they were working on. Be it a remodeling project, deck, landscaping, plumbing, paint, a new appliance, flooring, electrical, lawn mowers, etc. I was not assigned to a specific department.
Pros and Cons
They allowed me to excel at providing customer service.
Having skilled weekday CSR’s on the floor was discontinued after 4.5 years

I really enjoyed the job a lot. Love helping out customers and helping to grow fellow associates. However, Lowe’s is a woke company and only values woke ideology. I caution anyone who decides to work for them to be aware and cautious because of that. It is a value they have put above their corporate message of providing the best home improvement products the communities they serve.
Pros and Cons
There a lot of potential for growth.
Woke culture.

I had worked there for over 3 months and I was let go I was never given a straight answer as to why I was let go. When I was hired I told the truth to the store manager at the time and he gave me a chance and I proved that I was going to come to work and do my best. But when the new store manager took over I was let go. All he said was it was something to do with my background or drug test

Sexual harassed and assaulted by a manager and solution was to have me move to a different store further away while he did the damage. Lowes and Human Resources lied and tried to cover what was done. In fact I was blamed . Apparently it’s my fault I have some curves AND EVEN IF I DRESSED appropriately it’s still wrong.

The atmosphere is positive and your co workers are like family but the pay could be better and benefits like medical, vision and dental aren’t the greatest. All employees get quarterly bonuses and there are weekly TEAM huddles that allows everyone to know what is going on and store and company wide. It’s a cool place to work with no drama. Everyone is pretty nice and friendly.
Pros and Cons
Friendly, occasional cookouts, quarterly bonuses and contests.
Pay and benefits . Schedules during an inflation for part time employees are very low,. 2-3 days/wk

worked there for 2 years, always went above &beyond, long tiring hours, even when my child w/epilepsy had to stay home with his younger sister, I rarely got nights or weekends off, my schedule was all over the place so I never saw my kids, new people were being hired all the time &they were hired on making more money than the employees that had been there for awhile, all the way up until my legs gave out &had to go back to the vein doctor & found out I needed a bunch of procedures on my legs, filled out for medical leave (not the paid one either)it said I was approved that next day & would come back the day after my last procedure, month later I was on the phone w/their hr &all of them going back &fourth &they informed me that my medical leave was denied,I had been there 2 yrs, worked super long hours especially during Covid bc we were understaffed, there were days that I was stuck with no lunch break, had doc papers & everything but they denied me medical leave, had no choice but to quit

I wish I could give you a great story, but I can’t. For the 14 years I was there, the last 8-10 have been awful. The company has seen a couple of CEOs, which in turn, has changed the company for the worse. The culture became very hostile and cut-throat. My recommendation is that you never start a career there. You will absolutely regret it.
Pros and Cons
I found no pros

Honestly, if you are looking to work in the retail arena, my suggestion is to look elsewhere for employment. I was with this company for several years . . . and never again! Lowe’s Home Improvement is not the company it used to be. It’s culture, pay structure and work/life balance has changed drastically.
Starting from the day you get hired, the company is looking for ways to either terminate you or make you part-time, through micro-management and/or asset protection. The company, itself, is very political and cliquey, especially among management. If you start out part-time, which most do, thence be prepared for the off-season hours 8-10 hours a week. Although they’ll promise, at the least, 20-24 hour a week at pre-on boarding. Just save yourself the trouble and move on!
Pros and Cons
There is really no pros in this company.
Bad culture, low pay and no work/life balance.

While at Lowe's I would always get my work done earlier and end up just helping customers the whole time, work fun and it was enjoyable until Doug the head manager started being really rude to us we would get all our work done way before it was needed to and we had a lot of down time to ourselves where we basically just clean up and walk around and help customers when needed. Doug I guess had some type of ego power trip, anytime he saw us doing anything even if it was something our supervisors told us to do he'd come into the back and interrogate us about what we're doing and how company time is important, but nagging wasn't the issue, he started getting angrier and more unreasonable he would berate us and then it got so petty, often times he would come into the back find a riped bag and then harp on us for not cleaning it up but I started seeing him come into the department and cut a bag open when someone wasn't looking, and he make us clean it. Dirt gravel sand wood pellets anything.
Pros and Cons
friendly, company parties, plenty of downtime, can pretty much do whatever you want.
Head management was so incredibly rude to me I couldn't continue working there,

Worked there from January 2016 until May 2020. I was dedicated to my job in lumber. Unfortunately, a manager decided to start being a bully and fired me after she wrote me up for bogus incidents that never involved me. Well, I had trained every member of my team in the lumber department, so over the next two days when my team found out I had got kicked, they bounced on out of there. It took twelve employees from other departments to accomplish the tasks that my four teammates did every day. A year later a new store manager took over and fired her on his first day, along with two other managers, because of their hyperextended power trip. They had gotten spoiled to abusing their power from their insignificantly elevated rung on their pseudo corporate ladder. Karma and zen!
Pros and Cons
Friendly office, Human Resources is really outgoing.
