Responsible for operating production machinery and assembling product within established procedures and guidelines in a high production environment. Supports socket and other product line production in various capacities as assigned.
Essential Job Functions:
Setup and operate manual machines, CNC machines, and/or lasers in a fast paced, high production environment. May run more than one unit simultaneously.
Meet established quality and production standards.
Load and un-load parts as necessary to machining process
Change inserts and tooling as necessary
Inspect parts for quality assurance
Support production in multiple work assignments as needed
Provide support for Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives, companywide.
Other duties, reporting, special assignments or projects as needed and assigned.
2+ years manufacturing experience operating manufacturing/production equipment; preferably manual and/or CNC machines
Familiarity with machining centers, metrology tools
Experience following written work instructions and blueprints
Strong mechanical aptitude preferred
Able to work in a team environment, including being cross-trained for multiple work assignments.
Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office products and MRP systems (vantage preferred)
Physical Requirements include: ability to stand for long periods of time, walk between work stations, and lift up to 40 lbs repeatedly.
Must be willing to submit to and satisfactorily pass any pre-employment screening required for employment with NMG Aerospace (i.e. drug screen, background check, eye exam, hearing exam, etc.) and any subsequent testing required for the position during employment.
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50 percent of the time.
The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office or shop floor to access work supplies, tools, machinery, etc.
