About Maintenance Director

What does a Maintenance Director do?

We, maintenance directors, manage the maintenance departments. It is our responsibility to set the strategies and goals for the department. It is our duty to oversee the maintenance supervisors and lead their tasks. We are responsible for scheduling shifts, and creating the maintenance processes and policies for the organizations. We assign the maintenance and repair tasks and report to the business owners. We work with maintenance technicians and manage them. As maintenance directors, we ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Lastly, we create the daily operational tasks and ensure everything is running smoothly.

  • reviewing the maintenance supervisors
  • maintaining the costs and budgets
  • approving the vendor bids for stocks and inventories
