What does a Makeup Artist do?

As makeup artists, we have in-depth knowledge of makeup and beauty products, their uses, and creating different makeup looks. Our job role requires us to have excellent time-management and attention to detail skills. We also possess a creative and artistic mindset to execute our clients' makeup looks that they need us to create. As makeup artists, we also have to keep ourselves up to date with the changing makeup trends. Along with all these roles, we also do makeup for brides and models.

  • communicating effectively with clients to set the time and location for appointments
  • determining necessary products to create specific makeup looks
  • applying makeup professionally, keeping in mind the client's skin type
