JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Serves as the Strategic Human Resource Business Partner supporting the business goals of their assignment areas/ departments.

  • This includes advising on leadership changes or restructuring, change management, engagement strategies, talent management and performance management.

  • Supports the day to day employee relations function at the entity while escalating complex cases to corporate Employee Relations as needed.

  • Keeps a log of all employee relations cases and regularly reviews with entity HR Leadership.

  • Leads training of department leaders on managing their employee relations and creating a work environment to engage and develop staff.

  • Analyzes metrics and trends to influence progressive programs and solutions.

  • Includes identifying and analyzing talent implications and making recommendation on key business solutions and opportunities to influence recruitment, retention, employee engagement, performance management, care transformation, fair & just culture, diversity, equity and inclusion.

  • Serves as Human Resource project point person on entity restructures and acquisitions.

  • Guides department leaders through restructures.

  • Supports Human Resource efforts to ensure leaders are keeping up with their staffs in annual regulatory compliance with HLC Regulatory modules, vaccination compliance, health assessments, and performance reviews.

  • Participates and supports entity Human Resource efforts to prepare for Joint Commission compliance.

  • Supports entity Human Resource efforts to ensure leaders¿ staff files are current through regular audits and participates in the Human Resource portion of Joint Commission visits.

  • Ensures employment, compensation, employee relations, and affirmative action practices comply with organization and legal requirements.

  • Develops and implements training and employee recognition programs.

  • Serves on and provides input to internal and external committees and represents the department within the organization on Human Resources matters.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field required.

  • Must have five years of progressive human resources experience. Previous experience in a lead or managerial capacity preferredPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS (MediumMax 25lbs): up to 25 lbs, 0-33% of the work day (occasionally); 11-25 lbs, 34-66% of the workday (frequently); 01-10 lbs, 67-100% of the workday (constantly); Lifting 25 lbs max; Carrying of objects up to 25 lbs; Occasional to frequent standing & walking, Occasional sitting, Close eye work (computers, typing, reading, writing), Physical demands may vary depending on assigned work area and work tasks.ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS: Factors affecting environment conditions may vary depending on the assigned work area and tasks. Tasks

  • Interpret and explain human resources policies, procedures, laws, standards, or regulations.
  • Hire employees and process hiring-related paperwork.
  • Maintain current knowledge of Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and affirmative action guidelines and laws, such as the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
  • Prepare or maintain employment records related to events, such as hiring, termination, leaves, transfers, or promotions, using human resources management system software.
  • Address employee relations issues, such as harassment allegations, work complaints, or other employee concerns.
  • Review employment applications and job orders to match applicants with job requirements.
  • Inform job applicants of details such as duties and responsibilities, compensation, benefits, schedules, working conditions, or promotion opportunities.
  • Select qualified job applicants or refer them to managers, making hiring recommendations when appropriate.
  • Schedule or conduct new employee orientations.

  • Conduct exit interviews and ensure that necessary employment termination paperwork is completed.
  • Interview job applicants to obtain information on work history, training, education, or job skills.
  • Perform searches for qualified job candidates, using sources such as computer databases, networking, Internet recruiting resources, media advertisements, job fairs, recruiting firms, or employee referrals.
  • Provide management with information or training related to interviewing, performance appraisals, counseling techniques, or documentation of performance issues.
  • Analyze employment-related data and prepare required reports.
  • Advise management on organizing, preparing, or implementing recruiting or retention programs.
  • Develop or implement recruiting strategies to meet current or anticipated staffing needs.
  • Administer employee benefit plans.
  • Schedule or administer skill, intelligence, psychological, or drug tests for current or prospective employees.
  • Conduct reference or background checks on job applicants.
  • Review and evaluate applicant qualifications or eligibility for specified licensing, according to established guidelines and designated licensing codes.
