Job Description

1. Manages day-to-day operations at one or more retail branch locations. 2. Provides supervision of and support to branch staff; oversees activities of all branch staff and the opening and closing of the branch. 3. Ensures audit compliance and quality control of procedures; conducts unannounced audits of all branch funds. 4. Maintains deposit services, community relations, and all other branch operations. 5. Promotes business development and actively seeks and promotes new business. 6. Responsible for coaching team to be attentive to and provide excellent service to all customers at all times. 7. Responsible for coaching and holding team members accountable to achieve retail goals that have been determined by leadership of the bank. i.e. new accounts, consumer loans, online banking/bill pay etc. 8. Handles customer complaints and problems; counsels customers with special needs or requests. 9. Provides extensive personalized service to depositors with specific or special banking needs. 10. Provides account advice, including account resolution suggestions and other information, to assigned customers as needed. 11. Meets with and assists potential customers and handles the details to establish new accounts, prepare loan documents, debits and other paperwork necessary to complete customer account files. 12. Ability to assist and train with the balancing process of the TellerConnect machines. 13. May need to troubleshoot Teller Connect machines and cash recyclers along with performing proper balancing and auditing procedures. 14. Actively seeks and promotes new deposit and consumer loan business; also responsible for cross selling additional products and services. 15. Process all retail/consumer new account transactions. Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelors degree in Business Administration or related field. Skills: Minimum of 5 years banking experience. 1 year of Assistant Branch Manager experience or related experience. Effectively manage overall operations of a branch. Time management, decision-making and organizational skills. Ability to communicate with customers by speaking clearly. Ability to learn new computer programs and navigate through different programs. Experience in handling stressful situations and a fast-paced environment.

  • Personnel and Human ResourcesKnowledge of principles and procedures for personnel recruitment, selection, training, compensation and benefits, labor relations and negotiation, and personnel information systems.
