Purpose
To provide services in support of the overall functions of the Division of Clinical Research, Office of the Director. This position is part-time.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide assistance to the Division Management, Regulatory and Operations staff, both US and internationally based, on all aspects of program planning, clinical research regulatory management, extramural scientific study operations, and Division policy.
- Participate in the progress of assigned projects and tasks against internal and external factors to provide comprehensive recommendations on all aspects of operations to Division management.
- Review existing and proposed guidelines, policies and procedures of assigned regulatory projects to assess and recommend revisions or replacement.
- Participate in scheduled meetings to maintain awareness of the progress of assigned programs, projects and tasks, as well as provide insight and recommendations to other participants and Division management as needed to help ensure alignment with organizational priorities and procedures.
- Provide advice and counsel as requested to Division Management, Regulatory and Operations staff, especially as pertains to the continuity of the NIAID Clinical Research Subcommittee and to facilitate the continued development of the DCR and trans-NIAID clinical quality management programs.
Qualifications
- All support positions required a minimum of a BS degree; some require a MS, MD, or Ph.D.
- The education, skills and relevant years of experience required for each support position are consistent with those identified as the minimum requirements for the labor categories specified in the contract.

- Demonstrated significant depth and breadth of subject-level expertise.
- Demonstrated awareness of the latest developments in the project specialty areas.
- Demonstrated potential to publish in high quality, peer-reviewed articles.
