- Provide technical leadership and direction for the CalAmp’s Supply Chain Visibility product line
- Serves as the expert on regulations compliance as it relates to FSMA (Food Safety Management Act), Title 21 CFR Part II and NIST tracebility
- Manages products through every stage of the product lifecycle
- Develop and maintains a comprehensive and highly differentiated product offering and roadmap including devices, application and value-added services
- Development of clear and actionable product requirements with user stories and use cases that engineering can use to effectively build products with rapid and high market acceptance
- Develop & manage market launch plans and associated collateral
- Monitor & drive product design-in through strong collaboration with sales & distribution partners
- Participate in Cross Functional Teams (CFT) to ensure product specifications & schedules are met per customer/market expectations
- Meet regularly with key customers, prospects, and partners to solicit input and to promote the product strategy and key value propositions
- Work closely with the Quality team to address all customer product related queries & quality issues
- Maintain a repository of product competitive analyses for product positioning
- Assist in organization of customer events & trade shows
- Conduct product training for sales & distribution partners
Must Haves
- At least 5 years of Product Management or Product Marketing experience
- At least 2 year of experience with technologies and the regulation surrounding cold chain monitoring
- Must be located in Carlsbad or Irvine, California or Richardson, Texas
- Demonstrated success in defining and launching successful enterprise focused technology solutions in highly competitive markets
- Knowledgeable in the software and hardware development lifecycle
- Outstanding leadership and communications skills (both written and verbal)
- Capable of prioritizing tasks, monitoring project progress & reporting status updates to management in a timely fashion
- Willing and able to travel 25% on average
- Sense of urgency to meet customer requirements and commitment to customer service & satisfaction
- Bachelors degree in engineering, computer science, or other technical discipline
