As Managers of Care Management, we handle all aspects of operations within the care setting, recruiting and managing staff teams, managing budgets, and ensuring the level of the services provided meets national care standards. The Managers of Care Management provide all year round-the-clock care ensures that their care services are visible as a local resource integrated into the community, ensures the delivery of person-centered care, manages budgets, and the setting's financial effectiveness. We recruit, train, supervise staff, chair meetings, deliver training, take on a visible leadership role, maintain quality standards, and ensure health and safety compliance. We liaise with and keep partnerships with other local community organizations, ensure any regulatory activity, such as personal care and administering medicines, is delivered within regulations, provide information, advice, and support to residents' families.
Core tasks:
- manage activities for residents and actively promote their independence
- promote the welfare of the children
- ensure the high level of care provided is consistent with current legislation
- negotiate with local authorities as well as health and other professionals working with the children
- supervise child protection concerns and complaints
- add to care planning, statutory case reviews, and case conferences
