Our Technology team is committed to empower Karat users to operate efficiently, securely, and with operational excellence. We partner with all internal teams to ensure each Karateer has the up-to-date tools, systems, and support available.

What you will do

As Manager of Information Technology at Karat, you will use your technology skills to build and maintain a corporate technology landscape that allows us to work effectively and efficiently. Responsible for the day-to-day management of our IT team, as well as our technical systems and services, you will recommend and implement technology solutions, manage system security and upgrades, provide training and support, and collaborate with key departments.
  • Manage and grow a team of System Administrators, IT Analysts, and Help Desk Specialists supporting a global contractor and employee base.
  • Work closely with Compliance and Security teams to monitor, analyze, and respond to system threats, identify system vulnerabilities, and build out continuous monitoring opportunities.
  • Ensure appropriate documentation, including current user procedures, training materials, and internal policies are available and up-to-date.
  • Lead large-scale IT projects, including the design and deployment of new systems and services.
  • Monitor the budget and performance of IT systems and work closely with Finance and leadership to ensure strategic and scalable decisions are made.
  • Work closely with Karat's Legal and Compliance team on SOC2 and ISO initiatives.
  • Collaborate with external vendors and partners to resolve issues, evaluate technology solutions, and pricing.
The experience you will bring
  • 7+ years experience scaling IT systems, creating best-in-class technology stacks for a high-growth tech company
  • Working knowledge administering various SaaS systems (Okta, Google Workspace, LastPass, Slack, Zoom, etc.)
  • Experience working with MDM and zero-touch deployment (JAMF prefered)
  • Working IT experience in compliance-driven organizations (exposure to EU-US Privacy Shield, GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2, etc.)
  • Deep knowledge in troubleshooting and managing macOS and Windows environments
  • Solid understanding of Cloud architecture and applications (such as identity management, G Suite, Office 365, etc).
  • Proven leadership experience mentoring and growing teams in Help Desk, IT Operations, and System Administration
  • Strong analytical systems thinking combined with creative problem-solving skills
This is a full time, salaried position. Immigration sponsorship is not available.
