About Manager on Duty

What does a Manager on Duty do?

As Managers on Duty, we are responsible for managing and supervising the staff's activities as per pre-established principles for optimal production outcomes. We meet with upper management regularly to keep informed about organizational changes and improvements. We also keep track of annual performance objectives. Conducting facility walk-throughs every hour is also a part of our duty. We record and evaluate revenue and cash flow. We also conduct the hiring and training of new staff. Working as Managers on Duty, we are responsible for assisting the front desk with payments and phone calls. We ensure that all facility signage is up to date and in working condition. Finally, we conduct facility programming and scheduling.

Core tasks:

  • recording and reporting incidents as necessary
  • presenting current policies and information to members
  • addressing workers complaints and performance issues
  • assisting management in creating the department's budget
