Job Description

The Manager of Professional Services provides leadership and manages the staff and departmental activities of the Professional Services Department. You will be responsible for planning and ensuring the efficient operating and adherence to organizational and multiple state-mandated standards and guidelines in regards to the review and processing of claims, Enterprise and divisional goals and objectives. You are also responsible for the fulfillment of Delta's commitment to its enrollees and member dentists, and to oversee the delivery of quality dental care and application of policy and guidelines to our purchasers and subscribers.

How You Will Make An Impact:
    • Manages and develops staff to achieve department objectives including determining staffing needs, setting goals, interviewing, selecting, coaching, and evaluating the performance of all direct reports. Ensures staff is trained and works with department and/or enterprise trainer to develop written training materials and procedures.
    • Provides support to sales staff on covered procedures and the granting of policy exceptions.
    • Analyzes trends and makes recommendations for processing procedures to ensure efficiency and cost containment.
    • Develops and implements best practice protocols within the division and the Enterprise.
    • Evaluates and implements organizational standards to meet corporate and divisional goals and objectives.
    • Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For:
    • College degree or equivalent required.
    • Strong leadership abilities.
    • Minimum of 8 years of managerial experience including coaching, staffing, recruiting and training.
    • Project development and implementation experience.
    • Experience in assessing operational conditions, workflow analysis and formulating recommendations and plans for maintaining and improving efficiency and cost effective protocols.
    • Detail orientation and analytical skills.
    • Strong organizational/time management and project management skills and multi-tasking abilities.
    • Knowledge of Current Dental Terminology ( CDT ) codes and dental nomenclature.
    • Knowledge of enterprise s processing policies and guidelines for dental procedures, limitation and exclusions.
