Responsible for the operation of the Pediatric Residency Program and its staff. Analyze and anticipate staffing and space needs to contribute to the residency program’s strategic planning. Manages the recruitment process of new pediatric interns from the most qualified medical school graduates in the country. Through recruitment efforts assure that Seattle Children’s continues to provide high quality care at the resident level and continues our respected national reputation as one of the top Pediatric Residency Programs in the country. The Pediatric Residency Manager is responsible for the orientation, licensing, training, graduation, liability, and human resource needs for the residents in the Pediatric Residency Training Program to ensure that the graduating class is board eligible as stipulated in ACGME Program Requirements. Responsible for Graduate Medical Education and Medical Student Programs during absence of the Manager of GME and the Director of GME, WWAMI and Medical Student Programs.
BA/BS or equivalent combination of education and experience
Demonstrated experience in leading teams, committees, activities, and staff
Familiarity with systems and policies of academic programs
Experience working with Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) training program(s)
Proven record of project completion, program planning, execution, and status reporting
