Position is responsible for the management, coordination, and execution of all field operations for the Pump and Shoring Division, including slide rail, shoring, and pump. Scope of responsibilities include management and supervision of service and support staff, training of customer and MacAllister personnel, management of inventory and logistics, and safety for all P&S field activities.
Manages all slide rail projects, including coordination with sales and counter reps, quoting, inventory management, training, field installation, and safety.
Supervises field set ups for all shoring and pump installs including drilling, de-watering, and sewer bypass installations when required.
Responsible for technical training of sales and support staff on all operations including slide rail projects and P&S field installations.
Responsible for driving slide rail and dewatering revenue to help us meet budgeted goals.
Assists with shoring & pump inventory management and control including procurement, coordination, and logistics of all support parts needed for field operations.
Responsible for management of rental damage documentation, repairs, and customer billing.
Maintains and organizes the shoring & pump rental yard ensuring optimum efficiency and accurate inventory control.
Manages the diagnosis and repairs of shoring, pump, and slide rail equipment in the field.
Coordinates shop repairs and ensures proper documentation and paperwork is complete, including parts procurement and technician time sheets.

Maintains company issued vehicles, equipment, tools, work areas, etc. by keeping them in good working order, clean, professional in appearance, and up to date with suggested maintenance.
Complete any and all special assignments or projects from manager on a timely basis

Wear safety glasses at all times while working in the shop and while working in the field, as well as any other personal protective equipment required such as steel toe boots etc.
Knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through a high school education or the equivalent with a technical background or additional training preferred, as provided through a vocational school with studies in diesel equipment repair.
5 years of equipment service/support experience specifically with Shoring and/or Pumps.
3-5 years of mechanical experience with heavy equipment preferably with a rental company or Caterpillar and/or in a position with a working knowledge of hydraulics, powertrain, electronic/electrical systems etc.
Good decision-making and creative thinking skills.
Good problem solving, diagnostic and troubleshooting skills with the ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures and guidelines and basic understanding of warranty administration.
Moderate computer skills, including experience using Microsoft Office. Moderate experience using data base systems.
Good customer service skills, basic prospecting skills and the ability to meet and/or exceed customer expectations.
Good listening and verbal communication skills.
A working knowledge of safety rules, laws and regulations concerning engine service, hydraulics, electrical, technical functions of various components and tooling procedures and capabilities.
Self-motivated with the ability to work with little supervision and achieve required goals and objectives.
The ability to work over time and weekends.
The ability to uphold professionalism with both internal and external customers, including personal appearance and friendly, courteous treatment of peers, subordinates and customers.
May be required to obtain a Class A Drivers License and/or CDL.
May be required to obtain an Indiana and/or Michigan DNR Well Drillers license
